- Beaver Scouts belong to the first and youngest section of the Scouting family.
- They are young people, usually aged between 6 and 8 years old.
- Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up their sixth birthday.
Easily recognized by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They meet once a week as a Beaver Scout Colony.
Beaver Scouting isn't just all indoors or at the hall either; they hold sleepovers in suitable venues like Scout centres and regularly take part in District and County events. It's all about fun and friends!
Chief Scout Bear Grylls says life is about grabbing opportunities! We agree and above everything else, Beaver Scouting is all about enjoying yourself, whatever you're doing – and there'll always be plenty to do!
